“ A prática e a repetição levam a perfeição ! ” "The practice and repetition leads to perfection!"

That practice makes perfect, we all know or have heard this a few times maximum. But few understand and practice conscious of their results, when it comes to repeat the positions several times to train the coup, and so can make the blow more "fair" or that the drive to get out more "fluid".

Systematically repeat the blow does not mean that you do not know, but it is the practice during the many fighters want to just fight and fight and fight! but when it comes to blows or repeat specific movements as part of training in class, many students do not realize the importance of this part of the "study" of the martial art, and sometimes even react with bad will.Não realize that through this study may well find other variations of the scam and test their real efficiency. That´s the momento to improve the position, lapidary particular movement and execute it in such a way of fluidity, which leads to an unconscious level, the fighter performs the coup without thinking , does so by pure instinct, all strokes are good, or pick up. But the only path that leads to execution of any blow to a degree of efficiency, speed and technical quality is the constant practice, only through constant practice, the "review" of the techniques is that the fighter increases your arsenal of moves and imposes their technique in a fight. This principle is realized when a fighter is praised or criticized for his technique with phrases like, "he just knows how to give one blow!" Or "to annul his game is just to do this or that .. . "

The higher the technical repertoire of the better fighter for it, your mind will feel more relaxed because he knows he has several options arise in your mind as training acontece.Independente if the movements are offensive or defensive, he knows he has an output and so save your breath for the right moments of the match, becoming more efficient with their attacks and less consumption of aerobic potential, especially the competitors in a short time, do many fights, so essential to a gas significant result in a championship or even a workout at the gym.

The fighter has to be mentally alert and safe, his knowledge and action must be a single thought, the mind must be focused on the present moment of the fight, unaware of the score, the public, if someone is looking to own training or personal thought when anger obscures and hinders thought. On the other hand, as the fighter does not know what to do at the time of the fight, your mind stops, and consequently also their actions, this may mean the end of their fight suffering a points defeat or submission. To conclude this text, I repeat the words of the master Daisetsu Suzuki, with the following sentence: "The technical knowledge is not enough. We must transcend technique so that the art becomes an artless art springs from the unconscious. "

Jiu-Jitsu de corpo e mente ! Jiu-Jitsu of body and mind !

                                                   Revista Tatame #190 - Artigo Jiu-Jitsu

Jiu-Jitsu of body and mind !

Many feel that having the martial art as a philosophy of life is possible only in Kung-fu movies or episodes of the Karate Kid. Unfortunately the teaching of martial arts in some gyms were disconnected from their philosophical part. The main objective was restricted to completion of the opponent and nothing else. The philosophy of struggle, the art of war fighter's conduct inside and outside the dojo is unimportant to some. But philosophy is united to fight very important part of character development and technical fighter.

The clarity of thought at the time of the fight, open-minded to decide the best move or best shot to end the clash, the correct breathing help the athlete achieve the best result in a competition or training. The fighter has to be always thinking ahead, precise movements and other mentally outlined in response to any movement executed by his opponent.

The one who fights only by stopping the movement of your opponent will never have a technical development and is unlikely to have great victories.

Learning or "understand" Jiu-Jitsu only as a routine shots and movements is greatly reduce our Art Soft. Joining the philosophical martial technique is to expand the concept of martial arts that embrace and live. It is no coincidence that Jiu-Jitsu is also called a "chess body." The Art of War by Sun Tzu has been brought to the business world with the title "The Art of War for the businessmen." Showing the importance of intellect in the struggles.

Philosophy has to walk with the fighter since its inception in the white band as in all times in its evolution until the desired black belt. And a black belt in the study continued learning is continuous, each day in the dojo when new situations arise that require or cause reflections and a mental exercise to assess what to do.

When a fighter leaves the fear or anger over her mind, she stops and it becomes an easy target to suffer to an abnormal termination. The samurai were the first to realize this factor is so important that the balance of mind before the fight.

I think the fighter should be the union of time training, technical skills, and knowledge of the physical philosophy of your martial art.
